The first lap will start in Jerez and will be of 12,6 km. The third day (25th of August) the official opening will take place in Cádiz, the oldest city of Europe. A special location was picked, while the “vuelta” takes off from an aircraft carrier, named after the former king of Spain. On that day, the cyclists will run 188 km to Arcos de la Frontera. Then Córdoba, Ronda, Benalmadena and Baeza (World Heritage Site) are following. Later, the cyclists will go up north.

For almost two weeks Spain has been waiting for the crowning of the son of Don Juan Carlos. This new king Felipe VI will take over tomorrow, the 19th of June 2014. On all television stations you can see the special ceremony in Madrid at 10.30am. A ceremony based on austerity and which will cost less than 11 million euros, the amount the king and queen of the Netherlands spent last year. No other royal families will be present on this coronation, unlike in the low countries....
